The Dixon MAH series stainless steel miniature worm gear clamp has a stainless steel band and housing, a stainless steel screw, and is a miniature size for use with small hoses in confined spaces. A worm gear mechanism adjusts the clamp’s diameter to precisely apply sealing pressure. The band’s 5/8” width provides a greater sealing area than clamps of smaller width. The band, housing, and screw are made of stainless steel that conforms to the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) 300 series standard and provides resistance to corrosion in marine environments. The slotted, 1/4” hex-head screw allows installation using a blade screwdriver, nut driver, or socket wrench. The clamp is recommended for maximum torque of 15 inch-pounds. These clamps meet the SAE J1508 standard for hose clamps. Hose clamps attach hoses to fittings to prevent flow leakage. They come in a variety of designs and distribute uniform pressure over the circumference of hoses to bind them to fittings.
